Thursday Dec. 26 2013, at 1800 hours the Houston Volunteer Fire Co. put into service their New Ambulance. The new A52 as it is now called is a 2013 international Terra Star with a Horton box Equipped with all the bls supplies.

A little backgrund on the new adventure for the Co. In September 2012 a motion was made by HVFC members to look into the feasibility of providing ambulance service. Following extensve research, the first presentaton was given in June 2013 to the HVFC members, at that time members voted to move forward based on the research done.

Effective Dec. 26 2013 at 1800 hours HVFC will begin providing full emergency medica services. This is not limited to 911 responses forimmediate emergency care, It includes the emergency transport to the hospitals. HVFC is honored to provide complete care from time of arrival though transport the hospital, to the houston fire district andsurroundig area that our services are needed.

This accomplishment could not have been done without the support of the members of the HVFC, neighboring fire companies, Carlisle fire company, and Harrington fire company, Delaware state fire commision and the help of the Delaware State Fire School Employees.
